MARVIN ISLEYMarvin Isley, the youngest of the Isley Brothers, has died aged 56.He was bass player with the American band, which spanned more than five decades.He joined his brothers' band in 1973, later forming Isley-Jasper-Isley in the 80s then rejoining the Isley Brothers in the 90s.Hits include Shout, Fight the Power and the Grammy-winning It's Your Thing. He played on the band's 14 Top 10 hits, including Harvest for the World.Marvin died at a Chicago hospital on June 6, 2010.He had stopped performing in 1996 because of complications from diabetes. He had suffered a stroke, had a kidney transplant, lost both legs, and the use of his left hand.The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.He was survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
